Make A Covid Time Capsule

Updated: Apr 9, 2020

Hi All,

Hope you're managing to enjoy some sunshine today. I've stumbled across this link that you may like to have go at. it's been produced by a blogger called Natalie Long, who designed it for her daughter and then decided to share it. It's a printable template for a Covid 19 time capsule. You can print the sheets and fill them in and decorate them as you like. If you don't have access to a printer, you can take inspiration from the ideas and have a go at creating your own.

What could you do with your time capsule when it's completed? If you found a waterproof, sealable container, you could go down the traditional route and bury it in the garden for a future digger to find. Suitable containers for this might include an old flask or jar. However, as an alternative, you could also keep this as a time capsule in a cupboard / loft to show future generations of your family. You could decorate a shoe box or find a biscuit tin for this. Over the coming weeks you could continue to add to it, and even put your journal in there when this is all over. What else could you put in it? Ask your adult to email me your ideas and I will share them in a future post. Do send pictures of your work too - I'd love to share them on thh blog.
